I had quite some praise for PEA and Jabril Bailey the last time I wrote about them, so you can imagine how shocked I was when I learned that his contract with PEA had ended and that they would be going into this game against the most loaded team in the BTSL without an import player. This wasn’t going to end well.

ในคราวที่แล้วที่ได้เขียนเกี่ยวกับทีมการไฟฟ้าฯ ก็ได้เขียนชื่นชมเกี่ยวกับความหวังของทีมนี้ไปมากพอสมควร
ลองนึกดูว่าผมช็อคขนาดไหนตอนที่เห็นรายชื่อตัวผู้เล่นของการไฟฟ้าฯ ในนัดที่จะเจอกับ นครปฐม แมดโกท ไม่มีชื่อของ จาบริล เบลี่อยู่ เพราะสัญญากับทางต้นสังกัดได้หมดลง
ทีมการไฟฟ้ากำลังจะลงแข่งกับทีมที่ว่าครบเครื่องที่สุดในรายการ BTSL โดยที่ไม่มีตัว Import
แล้วผลมันจะออกมายังไงละนั่น

รายชื่อทีมชาติชุด SEA เกมส์ปี 2015 เปิดตัวออกมาช่วงต้นเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ที่ผ่านมาแล้วก็พอว่ามีตัวแทนจากทั้ง นครปฐม แม๊ดโกทส์ ไฮเทค โมโน แวมไพร์ และ ทิวไผ่งาม ซึ่งทีมที่ชนะทั้งรายการ ทีบีแอล และ ดิวิชั่น 1 อย่าง นครปฐม แม๊ดโกทส์ ก็มีตัวแทนถึง 8 คน ทางไฮเทค และ โมโน ก็ได้ไปทีมละ 4 และ 2 คนตามลำดับ ซึ่งแต่ละคนต่างก็เป็นขาประจำติดธงอยู่แล้ว ทิวไผ่งามก็ได้ส่ง “บิ๊ก” ธีรวัฒน์ จันทจร รวมแล้วมีทั้งหมด 4 ทีมจาก 5 ทีมใน BTSL ที่มีตัวแทนติดทีมชาติชุดนี้
ส่วนทีมที่เหลือนั่น คือ ทีมการไฟฟ้าฯ

The SEA games 2015 Men’s Basketball team roster came and went early February and it saw representatives from the Nakhon Pathom Madgoats, Hi-Tech, Mono Vampires, and Thew Phaingarm. The Madgoats got 8 players on the roster because they damn nearly won every tournament they played in, notably the Thailand Basketball League and the Division 1 tournament. Hi-Tech and Mono had 4 and 2 stars on the roster as well, most of them being regulars on the National Team already. Even Thew Phaingarm was able to send in Up-and-coming Center, Theerawat Chantachon into the mix. If you are counting, that is 4 out of the 5 teams in the BTSL that will be representing Thailand in the SEA Games.
The lone team left out? PEA.

A lot of times, when you look at the box score of the winning team of a basketball game and you’ll see that one guy who barely missed a hot in that game. We call that the “being hot”. When you look at the box score of the losing side, you usually see that one guy that missed a ton of shots as well. We call that “being cold”.
And on some weird days, you have both hot and cold on the same team.

Continue reading BTSL Game Recap 01/03/15 Mono Vampires vs Nakhon Pathom Madgoats: Hot And Cold
ในหลายๆ ครั้งเวลาที่จบการแข่งขัน เราก็จะมองหา Box score มาดูว่าตัวเลขมันจะเล่าอะไรให้เราฟังได้บ้าง โดยส่วนใหญ่แล้ว เราก็จะพบว่า ทีมที่ชนะมีจะมีคนใดคนนึงที่ยิงแทบไม่พลาดตลอดทั้งเกม แล้วเราก็จะหันไปบอกเพื่อนว่า “เฮ้ย วันนี้ XXX แม่งมาวะ”
ในขณะเดียวกัน โดยส่วนใหญ่พอเราหันไปดูทีมที่แพ้ เราก็จะเห็นคนนึงที่ยิงพลาดเกือบทุกลูก ซึ่งเราก็จะคิดในใจ “YYY ไม่มาเลยแฮะ วันนี้”
แต่ก็มีวันแปลกๆ บางที ที่ทั้งคนที่ยิงมา และยิงไม่มา ดันอยู่ทีมเดียวกัน

ฺBasketball is a competition for possession of the flow of the game for the duration of 40 (or 48) minutes. A good team must know how to grind it out in search for that game changing moment.
The important thing though is to seize it when the moment occurs in front of you.

บาสเก็ตบอล เป็นเกมที่มีการขับเคี่ยวเพื่อแย่งชิงจังหวะหวะของเกมในช่วง 40 (หรือ 48) นาทีของเกม ทีมที่ดีต้องรู้จักที่จะกัดฟันรอคอยจังหวะที่จะพลิกเกม
ที่สำคัญคือ พอจังหวะนั้นมาแล้ว ก็ต้องรีบคว้ามันมาให้ได้
