Teams have started making their moves in preparation for the #SEAGames2017! Most recently, Philippines National Team Head Coach Chot Reyes has announced his 12-Player roster for the tournament.

Philippines National Team SEA Games 2017 Roster:
1. Von Pessumal (Globalport Batang Pier)
2. Jeth Troy Rosario (Talk ‘N Text Katropa)
3. Mike Tolomia (Rain or Shine Elasto Painters)
4. Christian Standhardinger (SC Rasta Vechta)
5. Raymar Jose (Kaohsiung Truth 高雄聖徒職業籃球隊)
6. Bobby Ray Parks Jr. (Alab Pilipinas)
7. Kiefer Ravena (Alab Pilipinas)
8. Kobe Paras (California State University, Northridge)
9. Kevin Ferrer (Barangay Ginebra San Miguel)
10. Carl Bryan Cruz (Alaska Aces)
11. Baser Amer (Meralco Bolts)
12. Almond Vosotros (Blackwater Elite)
Of the 12, there are 6 that are already SEA Games Gold Medalist. Ravena has 3, Parks has 2, while Rosario, Ferrer, Amer, and Vosotros all have 1. All except Parks won the SEA Games 2015 Gold Medal 2 years ago.
All of the players have Senior National Team experience save for Paras and Standhardinger. Paras was on the U16 National Team and is now playing at Cal. State Northridge in the NCAA Division 1. Standhardinger himself has NCAA Division 1 experience and the 27-year-old Fil-German has been honing his craft in the German Pro Leagues.
The team has been practicing since the 20th of June and will continue to practice along with the National Team that will be participating in the FIBA Asia Championship 2017 which is held about the same time as the SEA Games.
They will be participaing in the William Jones Cup against other National Teams in Asia to get themselves ready as well.
This displays that the Philippines does not take the SEA Games as lightly as in the past which is considered from the amount of professional players that have made the squad this time round.

ทีมชาติแต่ละทีมเริ่มมีการเคลื่อนไหวสำหรับรายการ #SEAGames2017 โดยล่าสุดนี้ หัวหน้าโค้ชทีมชาติฟิลิปปินส์ ช็อต เรเยส ได้ออกมาประกาศว่าเขาได้ส่งรายชื่อ 12 คนที่จะใช้ในการแข่งขันนี้ เรียบร้อย ซึ่งมีดังนี

ในรายชื่อ 12 คนนี้ มีผู้เล่นที่คว้าเหรียญทอง SEA Games ทั้งหมด 6 คน คือ ราเวน่า (3 สมัย) พาร์กส์ (2 สมัย) โรซาริโอ เฟเรร์ อาเมร์ และ โวโซโทรส (1 สมัย) โดยใน 6 คนนี้ ยกเว้น พาร์กส์ ได้เหรียญทองมาใน SEA Games 2015 มาด้วยกัน
นอกจากนั้นแล้ว ผู้เล่นทุกคน เคยติดทีมชาติรุ่นผู้ใหญ่มาหมด ยกเว้น ปาราส กับ สแตนฮาร์ดิงเกอร์ ในส่วนของปาราส เคยติดทีมชาติชุด U16 มาแล้ว และตอนนี้เป็นนักกีฬามหาวิทยาลัย Cal. State Northridge ที่ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา
ส่วน สแตนฮาร์ดิงเกอร์ เป็นลูกครึ่ง ฟิลิปินส์-เยอรมัน อายุ 27 ปี ที่มีดีกรีเล่นใน NCAA Division 1 และ ลีกอาชีพที่ เยอรมันมา
ทีมชาติฟิลิปปินส์นี้ ได้เริ่มต้นการซ้อมมาตั้งแต่วันที่ 20 และจะมีการเตรียมทีมควบคู่ไปกับทีมชาติชุดใหญ่ที่จะส่งไปแข่งรายการ FIBA Asia Championship 2017 ที่แข่งเวลาใกล้เคียงกัน
นอกจากนี้ แล้วยังจะมีการลงแข่งขันรายการแข่งนานาชาติอย่าง William Jones Cup ที่จะได้เจอกับทีมชาติต่างๆ ในเอเชียหลายๆ ทีม เพื่อเตรียมความพร้อมอย่างเข้มข้นอีกด้วย
ทั้งหมดนี้ แสดงให้เห็นว่า ทีมชาติฟิลิปปินส์ เองก็ไม่ได้มอง SEA Games เป็นรายการเล็กๆ ง่ายๆ อีกต่อไป มีการเรียกรายชื่อผู้เล่นที่ลงเล่นในระดับอาชีพมาแล้วหลายคน อีกทั้งยังมีการเตรียมพร้อมระยะยาว
