After a gruelling 5 game TBSL Finals series between the Mono Vampires and Mono Thewphaingarm, Thailand Basketball will only take a very brief break before resuming action.
Around the rumor mill is a proposed pocket tournament called the Thailand Basketball Association (TBA) Champions League which is hosted by the TBA (not to be confused with BSAT which is a different organization altogether).
According to sources, the tournament will be held from May 1-6, 2017 with a total of 6 participating teams. The teams are said to be:
– Nan’an Fujian (China 🇨🇳)
– Basket Good (Republic of Korea 🇰🇷)
– Philippines National Police (Philippines 🇵🇭)
– Triotek (Taiwan 🇹🇼)
– Mono Vampire (Thailand 🇹🇭)
– Another team from Thailand 🇹🇭
Each team will be allowed to roster 17 players.
Other details of the event have yet to be mentioned including whether foreign imports are allowed, tournament schedule or format.
Again, none of this is official yet so expect some changes until the official release.

หลังจากที่มีการแข่งขันกันอย่างเข้มข้นจนถึงเกมที่ 5 ในรายการ TBSL ที่ผ่านมา วงการบาสเกตบอลในประเทศไทยจะได้พักความตื่นเต้นไว้แค่เพียงชั่วครู่เท่านั้น
ตอนนี้มีข่าวออกมาว่า ทางสมาคมกีฬาบาสเกตบอลอาชีพไทย (ซึ่งเป็นคนละสมาคมกับ สมาคมบาสเกตบอลแห่งประเทศไทย) จะมีการจัดการแข่งขัน TBA Champions League
จากที่ได้รับการรายงานมานั้น รายการนี้ จะจัดตั้งแต่ช่วงวันที่ 1-6 พฤษภาคม โดยมีทีมเข้าร่วมทั้งหมด 6 ทีม ดังนี้
– นานอัน ฟูเจียน (ประเทศจีน 🇨🇳)
– บาสเกตกู๊ด (สาธารณรัฐเกาหลี 🇰🇷)
– สโมสรตำรวจแห่งชาติฟิลิปปินส์ (ประเทศฟิลิปปินส์ 🇵🇭)
– ทรีโอเทก (ประเทศไต้หวัน 🇹🇼)
– โมโน แวมไพร์ (ประเทศไทย 🇹🇭)
– และ อีกหนึ่งทีมจากประเทศไทย 🇹🇭
ทุกทีมจะสามารถส่งรายชื่อได้ทั้งหมด 17 คน
ข้อมูลนอกเหนือจากนี้ ยังไม่มีการกล่าวถึง ไม่ว่าจะเป็นสิทธิในการใช้ผู้เล่นต่างชาติ รูปแบบการแข่งขัน หรือ ตารางเวลาการแข่งขัน อีกทั้งข้อมูลทั้งหมดนี้ ยังไม่มีการยืนยันอย่างเป็นทางการ เพราะฉะนั้น ต้องคอยติดตามกันต่อไปนะครับ
