Thai-American Tyler Lamb is hoping to continue his professional basketball career with the Hong Kong Eastern long Lions in the 7th season of the ASEAN Basketball League.

Via his personal Facebook Account, Tyler Lamb announced that he had agreed to terms with Hong Kong Eastern Sports Club for the upcoming ASEAN Basketball League season. This year, the ASEAN Basketball League has expanded to East Asia with the addition of teams from Hong Kong and Taiwan. The Hong Kong Eastern Long Lions are one of the expansion teams.
Prior to this agreement, Tyler Lamb had signed with Global Port Batang Pier to play in the PBA as an Asian Import. However, due to some complications Tyler Lamb was deemed ineligible and his plans for the PBA had to be put on hold.
There will be no such eligibility problems for Lamb in the ABL however, where he will serve as an ASEAN Import for the Long Lions. Lamb had already played as a Heritage import for Thai club, Hitech Bangkok City, last season. In 18 games, he averaged 18.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 2.8 steals. His season was cut short with a late injury, causing him to miss the playoffs where his team dropped out in the Semifinal round.
Lamb recovered in time for the Thailand Basketball League season where he still played with Hitech. His season average of 17.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.2 steals was enough to garner him Second Team All-TBL honours. Despite kicking up his performance to 24.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 3.4 steals in the playoffs, Lamb and his team would only be able to finish up in second place.
Now with a year of professional basketball under his belt, Lamb will look to bring his experience to a Hong Kong Eastern Long Lions team in their rookie campaign.
