Even though they wouldn’t get to see the Thai-American Lamb will his team, Hitech, to a championship they probably went away impressed with his 22 point, 9 rebound, and 3 steal performance.
They were obviously impressed enough to get things settled for Lamb to fly out to Manila, Philippines on Wednesday, 24 August.
Lamb wraps up an impressive season averaging 17.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.0 assists for Hitech who topped the Thailand Basketball League (TBL) regular season standings, but were unable to win the Championship Title in a decisive game 3 this past Sunday.
Global Port Batang Pier are currently tied for the 8th spot in the standings in the PBA with a 2-4 record. They are coming off 2 straight wins against Meralco Bolts and San Miguel Beermen. The schedule gets tougher as they will be facing Rain or Shine, Talk N’ Text, and the Alaska Aces in 3 consecutive games.

Thoughts
ABL fans should mark their calendars on 31/8 for the Global Port vs TNT game as it will be a rematch of last year’s Semi-Finals matchup between the Singapore Slingers (Rosales) vs Hitech (Lamb).
Lamb will be the 4th player to have signed to play in the PBA after a stint with Hitech in the ABL. Jerick Canada and Chris Charles signed with Blackwater Elite after the 2014 ABL Championship, while Steven Thomas signed with Global Port as an interim import in the 2015 Governor’s Cup. Thomas recently finished the TBL season with OSK R Airlines who lost to Lamb’s Hitech in the Semi-Finals.
Currently, Global Port also has two other ABL alumni in standout Stanley Pringle (ex-Indonesia Warrior) and Karl Dehesa (ex-Saigon Heat).
It will be fun to watch how Lamb will fit in with the high-octane offensive duo, Stanley Pringle and Terrance Romeo. Pringle is averaging 22.0 points while Romeo is averaging 20.8 points per game.
